    Yvonne Hilst


    Compliance Officer, VEON Yvonne Hilst is a Compliance Officer with VEON, an Amsterdam headquartered digital and telecommunications business. She is a US qualified attorney with more than 20 years’ experience primarily as outside and in-house regulatory/administrative counsel focused on antibribery, corruption, and ethics; international trade (import/export); internal investigations; data privacy; anti-money laundering and economic sanctions; anti-boycott; due diligence (M&A & 3rd party); and compliance program development. Outside the US, Yvonne has lived and worked in Amsterdam, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi. She has traveled extensively across the Middle East, Africa, and Asian sub-continent conducting training and investigations, reviewing concerns, and advising on compliance matters.

    Director Investigations & Compliance Business Operation, AkzoNobel Roeland is a Senior Legal Executive serving as Director Investigations & Compliance Business Operations for Akzo Nobel, a Netherlands-based leading global paints and coatings company and major producer of specialty chemicals. Responsibilities include managing over 300 internal and external investigations annually; ensuring adherence with AkzoNobel's Code of Conduct and compliance with external legal and regulatory requirements. Trusted legal advisor to senior management on compliance, corporate governance and other legal topics. Legal experience in the areas of corporate governance, litigation and dispute resolution, commercial contracting, compliance management and employment law.
    Prior to joining AkzoNobel, served as associate in the organisation now known as HVG Law LLP and Donahue & Partners LLP. Admitted to practice law in the Netherlands.
